As expected Apple introduced today new iMac with new entrails. There are two sizes, 20 or 24 inch glossy/aluminium version inside of which ticks more efficient hardware. Max 4Gb RAM support, max 1Tb hard drive, ATI Radeon 2400 XT or HD 2600 Pro and newer, more powerful and simply better Core 2 Duo processor, which ticks at 2,4 GHz and Core 2 Duo Merom Extreme model with 2,8 GHz build in later. All basic configurations will include 1 Gb RAM, WiFi 802.&&n and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR.

The prices for different models are:

  • 20″, C2D 2.0 GHz, 1 Gb memory, 250 Gb, ATI 2400 XT for $1,199
  • 20″, C2D 2,4 GHz, 1Gb memory, 320 Gb, ATI 2600 Pro for $1,499
  • 24″, C2D 2,4 GHz, 1 Gb memory, 320 Gb, ATI 2600 Pro for $1,799
  • 24″, C2D 2,8 GHz, 2 Gb memory, 500 Gb, ATI 2600 Pro for $2,299

At the same time Apple introduced new polished Mac Mini, new iMac keyboard, iLife 08 and iWork 08, which contains a competition for Excel called Numbers.
