Ford Kuga is next evolution step of idea revealed on last year car show in Paris as concept vehicle Iosis X. The car is designed by Ford’s new design philosophy called Kinetic Design.

The Kuga is based on the Focus, and has a raised ride height and 4WD, plus a choice of petrol and diesel engines – including the ST’s five-cylinder turbo. It’s due on sale in the spring, from around $31.000.

When the production unveil, the 2009 Ford Kuga will be available with a hybrid option, which will be the first of Ford’s petrol-electric vehicles in Europe. And it’s said that, the 2009 Ford Kuga may eventually be sold in North America alongside with the Ford C-Max MPV.
