One of top commentators on Novak’s blog is Dandellion Kimban who runs a blog about Second life. I’ve decided to make an interview with her on account of posting many interesting and helpful comments here. As you can see from the answers below she is not conventional trying-to-succeed blogger rather using her blog to write her thoughts. You can also see interview with Interwebhunt which was first interview on Novak’s blog and a start with making this blog more social.

Introduce yourself please.

I am virtual character who lives in virtual world of Second Life. I am female in her early thirties, with black and blue hair and too much piercings. Also, I am a Second Life mentor, which is a volunteer position of support, help and welcome to new residents.

How long have you been blogging?

It is an adventure that lasts for eight months now. Nice thing about blogging is that it becomes more interesting with time. I don’t know for how long things will be going that way but I am very happy to know that there are new topics and questions coming as I get deeper into subject.

In what niche are you blogging?

I am blogging about virtual worlds, mainly Second Life as the most populated and most active one at this time. There are a lot of things that might be a point of interest in virtual worlds, from technical issues to fashion. My favorite questions are connected to fenomenology of virtual existence and politics. Internet itself brought a lot of changes in our lives and our civilization. Ability to use internet not just as a library and a mean of communication, but also to be present there is a next step which will be the cause of changes we are not aware of yet.

One of the interesting points is a question of virtual identity. E.G. I don’t exist in the “real world”, I am just a product of the imagination of the human being who is behind the monitor and the keyboard while I am active. Despite our connection, we are two different identities, and even two different personalities. One can try to make “a perfect copy” of itself in virtual environment, but that is neither necessary nor obligatory. There is a lot of undiscovered possibilities in each of us. In some way new technologies are not only to make us more productive and to entertain us but can be also be a way of learning more about ourselves.

What are your goals and what are you doing to accomplish these goals?

As a young blogger I am not sure if I have any fixed goals. Blogging is like thinking out loud. It is more a process than publishing something that is already thought-out. Having that in mind, communication with the people who are interested in the same and similar topics are of great importance to me. Having a live and intersting conversation is a goal.

With such goals blogging is both a mean and a goal. It is wonderful not to have to think about stats and numbers which is a part of the daily routine when income or popularity is the goal.

What was your biggest success in blogging?

Frankly, I don’t know. It would be easy to point on succes if numbers are measure of success. In my case, the success is staying on the track and having new experiences as time goes by. Sure, one of the things I am proud in my blogging are all the friends and nice people I have met.

How many RSS feeds are you registered to? Name some of them.

Too much. My Google Reader is doing full-time job with handling over one hundred of feeds. I don’t read them all, but even flow of headlines can be terrifying from time to time.

Who do you think is the most influential blogger in your niche?

It is hard to say but I am a fan of Sophrosyne Stenvaag, Vint Falken and Celeb Booker .

Every blogger has a writing block from time to time. What do you do when this happens to you?

I quit typing and go for a walk. Writing blocks are like when you try to recall something that is so easy to remember but it just doesn’t come out at the moment. Just go doing something else and don’t think about it and it will come back. Just don’t panic, it happens to everybody that writes and there is no buggy man who steals our writing abilities We are just tired sometimes and our brains like to do other things too.
