The best thing about blogging is when you meet new interesting people. Some of them just pass by leaving few comments on your blog. But now and then there’s a person which becomes a blogger friend. I don’t remember how and when I met Niklas, but since then we help each other with tips about blogging and check each other’s blog regularly. If you want a tip about blogging or you want to know what’s happening lately just surf to Blog-Tutor.

How long have you been blogging?

I’ve been writing over the internet for about a year, however only recently did it actually turn into blogging. It started with writing a few articles at pspupdates.com about one of my favorite video game systems the PSP and the homebrew hacking community surrounding it, and then turned into me branching off into other things I was interested in. I never really was able to stick with one topic, but finally found an interesting topic I could settle on, blogging on how to blog.

In what niche are you blogging?

My blogging niche is very similar to yours Marko. I blog on how to blog, how to optimize your blog, and how to make money on doing it. Going back to my early days there’s always some interesting news going on right now that I feel the need to post about, so it adds a bit of variety in there.

What are your goals and what are you doing to accomplish these goals?

My goal in blogging is too pretty much spread information out to other people. Knowing that other people found something useful that I had said is a reward in itself. As long as the site covers hosting costs for itself, I’m not concerned with money at all.

I’ve been trying to get more and more content up because after you break everything down with traffic, SEO, PR, ect., it all relates back to the content you have. Sadly I’ve been very busy this past week due to personal issues which have now been resolved so I’m back to blogging a post a day. If I make a post a day that’s 365 in a year, which will lead to some easy Search-Engine traffic without doing anything, just using your old content as a buffer.

What was your biggest success in blogging?

Being a developing blogger, with just two weeks under my belt, it would probably have to be one of my friends coming up to me at school and telling me my blog was cool, when I hadn’t told him about it yet. He had apparently just entered my name in Google to find out what math homework was on my MySpace.

How many RSS feeds are you registered to? Name some of them.

I’m registered to only 4 RSS feeds, and while I read a lot more blogs, I don’t really register them just because of one good post. Although probably far less effective, I like using my bookmarks on my web browser more than my Rss Feed Widget in Vista. I’m currently registered to Problogger, Pearsonified, Copyblogger, and of course Novaksblog.

Who do you think is the most influential blogger in your niche?

The most influential blogger in my niche would probably be Darren Rowse from problogger. His articles were the last push which finally inspired me to make my own blog, instead of just writing random articles all over the place.

Every blogger has a writing block from time to time. What do you do when this happens to you?

When I have a writing block, I’ll often just stop and go do something else. Maybe I’ll become inspired by something I see or hear, maybe I’ll come back later and read another blog which inspires me. Blogging is something fun for me and I do it because I like to write about my thoughts or opinions about something. I don’t think you can make great content if you view it as a choir.

Thanks for the interview. I hope we’ll be seeing your posts through the blogosphere in the future.
