Couple days ago Google send me a mail asking me if I want to participate in new AdSense program. At first I was scared that I did something wrong, but when I read the mail I was quite happy. It seems Google offered me a new payment option. Until now I was receiving a check every month. I don’t have to tell you how long I had to wait for it. But now, things have changed.

We are excited to let you know that we plan to offer a chance to a small number of publishers in your country to receive their payment using Western Union’s Quick Cash service.

google sloveniaI guess I won’t have to wait for checks anymore. They selected me for their beta tester of new payment method for Slovenia. Of course I accepted the offer. I will receive a check for next payment though but after this one I’ll get my fund directly to my account.

Here is some additional information about the process:

  • Payments will be available for pickup at your local Western Union agent the day after they are issued, according to our normal payment schedule.
  • Payments must be picked up within 35 days of issuance or they will expire. If this happens, a payment hold will be placed on your AdSense account and the payment will be credited back to your account.
  • Payments will be made in US dollars, but depending on your local Western Union agent, they may be picked up in your local currency.

What else is new?

As it seems Google will make some changes in AdSense ads. As you know, ad is clicked if you click anywhere on it. From now on they will be clickable only on the title and the link. I guess this means CTR will fall for all users.

What do you think about these changes?

Update: If you go over the ads on my blog with mouse cursor, you can see that you can only click on the title or url.
