What is Crestock?
Crestock is online stock photography website that offers really nice stock pictures. They’ve organized this competition where you get 4 - 5 different stock pictures and try to make best picture possible from them. You can choose to use one or more of them. The only rule is that selected stock photo must be the main part of the image (many contestants didn’t follow this rule).
I decided to create my piece from Les Paul guitar photo. What I was going for was something different from all current trends (floating islands, rainbow colors,…). I chose more old school, hard rock image, since Les Paul represents hard rock times. But I didn’t stop there, because my image would look boring and old. So, I decided to spice it with some modern techniques. I think the result is nice looking image with warm colors and hard rock feel in it.
If you click on this image you’ll be redirected to my entry on Crestock’s website. In the first comment you’ll be able to see full size image for more details. You can use this image for wallpaper if you want. The full size version is in 1680 x 1050 and suitable for wide-screen displays.
