I have to say I’m really disappointed about Superbowl XLII. No, wait…I’m really disappointed in New England Patriots. To come this close to make a history and then not going through it, it’s just sad.
New York Giants
Giants were OK team through whole season. They started badly with two straight losses but continued with 6 straight wins. At the end of the regular season they’ve managed to win the wildcard game vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They surprised Cowboys and somehow manage to beat Green Bay Packers. Not many expected them to reach superbowl. They did, and they beat some pretty though teams in the process. Their form was at the top.
New England Patriots
What can I say about the team that was unbeaten through the whole regular season. I knew Patriots would play in Superbowl in the middle of the season. They were (c)rushing their opponents one by one and never looked back. Randy Moss and Tom Brady broke TD records and the team broke overall TD record. There would have to be a miracle to beat this team.
Eli Manning “The Miracle”
As it turned out, Eli was the miracle that crushed New England Patriots. It took the entire game to achieve that, but in the last minute Eli scored the winning TD. I couldn’t believe it. Patriots came to win ALL games and then lost in Superbowl!!! I still need some time to get over this giant disappointment.
It’ll be interesting to see, how many older players will stay with Patriots. By older I mean almost all linebackers and Randy Moss.

Hm… Interesting post Novak, but I really don’t care about American football, just as Americans don’t when it comes to football here in Europe.
What I know about it, is the fact that this is the most important and perhaps even the biggest advertising event in America where companies spend millions of $$$ for just seconds long advertisments…:)
